Can you handle large translation projects? |

Yes. While maintaining appropriate quality, we can handle projects of up to 25 million characters or up to eight target languages at the same time. |

What is your translation process? |

Our staff hold a consultation with you and create a style guide. The glossary is built into the translation work, and after translation we run CAC (computer-aided checks) based on our own checklist, the glossary and the style guide. Finally, a reviewer performs a final check before the translation is delivered. |

How are translators selected? |

Translators who have completed our training program are assigned according to the field of the source document. |

How are checks carried out? What technology do you use? |

After translation, error-prone points, required writing conventions and technical terms are checked automatically using a "checklist". This finds mistakes faster and more accurately than visual checks alone. The checks use a program we developed in-house based on regular expressions. |

Can you strictly follow a glossary and style guide we provide? And how? |

We build the style guide and glossary into a "checklist", and create the glossary before translation begins. The glossary is integrated with our translation tools so that the correct terms are suggested during translation. After translation, terminology is double-checked with the checklist and expressions are checked against the style guide. |

Do you support XML? |

Yes. We also handle XML-based files such as DITA. Our training program covers not only translation methods but also the basics of DITA. |

Do you offer AI (machine) translation? |

Yes. We combine the latest AI translation and translation memory with review and correction by professional translators and reviewers (AI + expert review). We never deliver raw AI output: people finish every translation in line with the context, terminology and your glossary and style guide, which keeps quality high while reducing time and cost. For documents that demand the highest accuracy or creativity, such as advertising copy or contracts, we may recommend conventional human translation instead, so that every project gets the right approach for its purpose and budget. |

What kinds of source documents can you handle? |

ACCENT uses a variety of translation and checking tools to ensure consistent quality. Source documents therefore need to contain machine-readable text (not images) and be compatible with our translation tools. We can process the following files: • Word • Excel • PowerPoint • TXT • RTF • CSV • HTML • XHTML • FrameMaker • InDesign Image files such as JPEG and GIF, and PDF files from which text cannot be extracted, must be transcribed before translation can begin (additional fee). |
